Domaine du haut-Pecharmant
This traditional wine is made of the four grape varieties: cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and malbec. The cabernets are dominant. A wine with a distinctive character, full-bodied and intense. It combines well with red meat, duck meat (try the local recipes!) and cheese.
Cuvee Veuve Roches
This wine honours the Widow Roches, who succeeded, a woman alone, to lift the Domaine du Haut Pécharmant to a high quality wine estate.
The selection of the older vineyards guarantees a more delicate wine with softer tannins. A part of the wine has aged in oak barrels. Elegant and aromatic, this wine goes wonderfully well with roasted white meat (veal, turkey) and duck's breast. Keep a glass for dessert: the local cake with nuts and dark chocolate…
This wine consist predominantly of cabernets. It has aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, depending on the structure and the evolution of the tannins. A powerful and intense wine, that needs ageing before being well appreciated for its richness. It is best to drink it with lamb, game and stronger cheeses.
For this rosé we use the first juice of the harvest and the grapes of the younger vineyards, macerating for only two hours before being pressed. Light and fruity, it makes a real summer wine!
Clos Peyrelevade is the property where it all started in 1915! 10 hectares of vineyards on a soil rich with iron. From these vineyards we produce a Pécharmant, a Bergerac red wine and a semi-sweet white wine (moelleux). Enjoy the fruity taste and the easy character of these wines.
